About PDF Editor

This is the all-in-one editor for a PDF that is not fillable. Pick a tool on the left — Edit Text, Sign, White-out, Highlight, Add Image, Text, Stamp, Watermark, Rectangle, Ellipse, Line, Arrow or Pen — then click or drag on the page. Pages appear as thumbnails next to the canvas, so you always have a live side preview. Text comes in 31 fonts, signatures can be drawn, typed or uploaded, and a watermark can be placed on one page or on every page. Find Words searches the whole document and can replace words in place. When you are done, download one clean edited PDF.

How to use PDF Editor

  1. 1Select your PDF. The pages appear as thumbnails next to the canvas — that is your live side preview.
  2. 2To edit text that is already in the PDF, click Edit Text in the left rail, then click that line and change it in the panel. You can also double-click a line in Select mode. For new content, pick a tool on the left (Text, Image, Signature, Highlight, Shape, Pen, Stamp or Watermark) and click or drag on the page. Drag items to move them, pull the corner to resize, and use Undo or Redo in the top bar.
  3. 3Use the Pages tab to add, duplicate, rotate, delete or reorder pages, or Append PDF to add another document. Use Find Words to search the document and replace words, then click "Download Edited PDF".

Frequently asked questions

Is this better than Sign PDF alone?

Yes, for big jobs. PDF Editor combines signing with full editing in one place and adds highlights, ellipses, lines, arrows, freehand drawing, stamps and full page tools.

Can I edit the text that is already in the PDF?

Yes. Click Edit Text, then click the line you want to change. The line becomes editable — change it in the panel on the right, and the downloaded PDF shows your new text in place of the old line.

Will an edit leave a white patch behind the new text?

No. The editor samples the page colour under the original line and uses that tint as the cover — white on a white page, grey on a grey form field, the matching shade on a coloured page — so the edit blends in. On a dark background the replacement text switches to a readable light colour.

What if my PDF is scanned or a page is rotated?

Scanned or photo-only pages have no real text inside them, so there is no line to click — cover the area with White-out and type over it, or run the page through OCR PDF first. Pages rotated inside the editor are also skipped for real-text editing, because their text coordinates do not map to the original page.

Can I add a watermark or find and replace words?

Yes. The Watermark tool places rotated, semi-transparent text on one page or on every page. Find Words searches the document, highlights matches on the current page, and Replace All rewrites every matching line while keeping its position and size.

Which fonts can I use?

31 fonts across Sans, Serif, Mono, Handwriting and Display, loaded from Google Fonts. On download each font is mapped to its nearest standard PDF family (serif to Times, mono to Courier, otherwise Helvetica), so the downloaded file always opens correctly.

Can I add a signature?

Yes. Draw it, type it in a handwriting font, or upload a picture of it, then click on any page to place it.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The file is opened and processed by your own browser. Nothing is uploaded to our server, so your document stays on your device.
